Ms. Avegail D. Carpio is an Associate Lecturer in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, College of Science at De La Salle University. She previously served as a faculty member at the University of the Philippines Manila, where she taught Computer Science and Mathematics courses, before joining De La Salle University full-time in 2024, after having served as a part-time faculty member from 2014 to 2024.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of the Philippines Diliman and a Master of Science in Health Informatics (Bioinformatics track) from the University of the Philippines Manila.
Ms. Carpio is passionate about teaching Mathematics and is committed to helping students develop critical and analytical thinking by simplifying complex concepts. Her teaching areas include Algebra, Trigonometry, Analytic Geometry, Calculus, and Mathematics in the Modern World. She also aims to further her studies in Mathematics education, artificial intelligence, and bioinformatics.
