DIPO and DITO Join KIST Park Open House, Highlighting Innovation and Industry Collaboration

De La Salle University (DLSU) officially showcased the first private Higher Education Institution (HEI) Knowledge, Innovation, Science, and Technology (KIST) Park in the Philippines during the DLSU KIST Park Open House held at the Laguna Campus. This milestone event underscores the University’s continued commitment to advancing research excellence and strengthening industry-driven development.
The DLSU Intellectual Property Office (DIPO) and the DLSU Innovation and Technology Office (DITO) actively participated in the event, reinforcing their shared mission of supporting innovation, technology transfer, and commercialization of research outputs within the University.
A key highlight of the participation was the involvement of the DIPO Director and DITO Manager, Atty. Christopher E. Cruz, PhD, who served as a panelist during one of the program sessions. In addition, he led an expert breakout room discussion focused on guiding participants on how to access and avail of the services offered by DIPO and DITO. The session provided valuable insights into intellectual property processes, innovation support mechanisms, and pathways for translating research into impactful technologies.
Through their engagement in the KIST Park Open House, DIPO and DITO demonstrated their strong support for DLSU’s vision of fostering a vibrant innovation ecosystem. Their participation further emphasized the importance of intellectual property management and industry collaboration to create meaningful societal impact.
The event marks another step forward in positioning DLSU as a leading institution in innovation and technology development in the Philippines, with DIPO and DITO playing key roles in enabling researchers and innovators to bring their ideas from concept to real-world application.
