The DLSU Department of Literature’s Diamond Jubilee Celebration Culminates in a Homecoming

The Diamond Jubilee celebration of the DLSU Department of Literature concluded with an evening of fellowship. It is Time to Come Home: Arts and Literature Night was held on June 6, 2026 at the Henry Sy Sr. Hall Roof Deck. On this special occasion, faculty, students, alumni, and friends of the Department gathered as a community to share food, stories, and memories.

Hosted by Nikka Abeleda, the event opened with an uplifting speech by Dr. Carlos Piocos III, Chair of the Department of Literature. Performances by faculty, students, and alumni filled the evening with creativity and warmth. Before the night ended, Dr. Anne Frances Sangil, Diamond Jubilee Project Head, delivered a heartfelt message of thanks. The celebration concluded with a group photo, capturing a memorable occasion that was truly one for the books.
