Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship (Challenge Based learning)

The BS in Entrepreneurship (Challenge-Based Learning) is an innovative and interdisciplinary program designed to develop Lasallian Entrepreneurs who are innovative, adaptable, and socially responsible. This program prepares students to create, manage, and scale business ventures that address real-world challenges by integrating experiential learning, interdisciplinary collaboration, and a sustainability-driven mindset.

Unlike traditional entrepreneurship programs, this curriculum follows a ladderized learning approach, ensuring that students progressively develop, test, and refine their business ideas throughout the program. By combining design thinking, digital innovation, and ethical leadership, students gain hands-on experience in launching startups while working alongside experts in technology, science, engineering, education, and management.

The program’s challenge-based learning methodology encourages students to engage directly with business and societal issues, equipping them with the critical thinking, problem-solving, and leadership skills needed to thrive in a rapidly changing entrepreneurial landscape. By the time they graduate, students will have operated real business ventures, participated in national and international competitions, and built cross-sector collaborations that contribute to economic growth and sustainable development.

Program Learning Objectives

  1. Identify and analyze real-world business challenges by scanning the environment for opportunities, assessing their viability, and formulating data-driven solutions that lead to sustainable entrepreneurial ventures.
  2. Apply an iterative, challenge-based approach in developing, testing, and refining business ideas, ensuring their feasibility, scalability, and sustainability in dynamic markets.
  3. Strategically mobilize and manage human, financial, technological, and logistical resources in an ethical and responsible manner to establish and grow entrepreneurial ventures.
  4. Develop and implement innovative business models that integrate design thinking, social impact, and technological advancements to address industry and societal needs.
  5. Communicate and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders—investors, customers, mentors, and community partners—through persuasive storytelling, impactful presentations, and digital media strategies.
  6. Demonstrate entrepreneurial leadership and teamwork competencies by fostering a culture of adaptability, problem-solving, and multidisciplinary collaboration to address complex business challenges.
  7. Operate and sustain enterprises with strong governance, ethical leadership, and corporate social responsibility grounded in Lasallian and Filipino values.
  8. Navigate the legal, regulatory, and financial frameworks for starting, scaling, and sustaining enterprises, while promoting sustainability through the use of indigenous materials and eco-conscious business practices.
  9. Engage in continuous learning and global entrepreneurial ecosystems, leveraging international business trends, digital innovations, and cross-cultural perspectives to remain competitive in a rapidly evolving economy.
  10. Participate in experiential learning opportunities, such as business incubation, venture acceleration, industry competitions, and community-based entrepreneurship projects, to refine business strategies and maximize real-world impact.
