Noel Sajid I. Murad is a Global South scholar, interdisciplinary educator, and queer rights advocate trained in communication, media studies, marketing, and advertising. He is an Assistant Professor of the Ramon V. del Rosario College of Business at De La Salle University (DLSU) and a PhD Candidate in Communication at the University of the Philippines Diliman (UPD). He currently serves as the Director of Research for the Philippine Association for Media and Communication Research, Inc. (PACMRI). He is a holder of the Mondragon International Philippines, Inc. Academic Chair of Marketing Management, and previously held the Claude M. Wilson Academic Chair in Marketing and Management, and the J. Romero & Associates Academic Chair in Advertising. As a differently-abled queer of color researcher, his scholarly work covers popular culture, diversity marketing, fandom-based consumer behavior and activism, queer studies on drag culture, audience studies on media representations, and the lived experiences and socio-political advocacies of marginalized identities.
