Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Business Studies (IBS)
The Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Business Studies (IBS) program is designed for students in the College of Business who seek a broad, generalist approach to business education. It is particularly suited for those who are interested in exploring business and economics without committing to a single functional discipline such as accounting, finance, marketing, management, or economics. The program provides students with the flexibility to design a personalized course of study aligned with their interests and career goals.
At the same time, the flexible structure of the IBS curriculum enables students to pursue a second major in fields such as Accountancy, Business Management, Economics, Legal Management, Management of Financial Institutions, or Marketing Management, thereby enhancing their academic and professional profile.
Given its interdisciplinary nature and adaptability, the IBS program prepares graduates for a wide range of career paths. These include opportunities in entrepreneurship, corporate management, financial services (such as banking, insurance, real estate, and investment analysis), human resource management and industrial relations, sales and marketing, economic and market research, as well as roles in government and public service.
