Prof. Dr. Choi conducted his thesis and dissertation research at Chia Nan University of Pharmacy and Science. He previously served as a Research Professor at the University Core Research Center for Disaster-Free and Safe Ocean City Construction. He was awarded the SCEJ Award for Outstanding Asian Researcher and Engineer in 2025 by the Society of Chemical Engineers, Japan, and was recognized as a distinguished honoree in the Asian Scientist 100 in 2025. He also received the Outstanding Young Scientist Award in 2024 and the NRCP Achievement Award in 2023. Earlier in his career, he received the Academic Paper Award and the Professor Wen-Jie Liang Memorial Academic Paper Award from the Chinese Institute of Environmental Engineering in 2017. He remains actively engaged in research and has demonstrated his expertise through more than 90 scholarly publications, with a Scopus h-index of 25.
