- No outside employment; official leave from work is required
- Benefits apply only during active enrollment
- Applications must be submitted through an official full-time DLSU faculty adviser, who will serve as the applicant’s sponsor and submit an endorsement letter
All applicants must secure a full-time DLSU faculty member as their official sponsor. To identify a suitable adviser:
(1) Visit the De La Salle University website
(2) Navigate to the College / School offering your PhD program
(3) Select the specific academic department
(4) Review the faculty profiles and areas of expertise (where available)
Note that not all colleges or departments display detailed faculty profiles and research expertise listings on their pages. In such cases, the list of college administrators by college and department, available at [this link], can still be very helpful. It provides the names of department chairs, coordinators, and other key administrators, who are often full-time faculty members and can either serve as potential advisers themselves or guide you to appropriate faculty in their unit.
Email Guidance:
In most cases (approximately 90% of DLSU faculty), email addresses follow a standard format: [email protected] (mailto:[email protected]) (e.g., if the faculty member’s name is Dr. Allan Bernardo, the likely email is [email protected]). Use this pattern to construct probable email addresses based on the names you find, or contact the department office for confirmation if needed.
Applicants are strongly encouraged to contact potential advisers before submitting the scholarship application.
