Job Description/Summary
The Laboratory Technician is responsible for operating, calibrating, and maintaining FTIR, UV-Vis, and ICP-MS instruments; preparing samples and standards; providing user support and training; ensuring laboratory safety and data quality; and supporting research activities while maintaining accurate records and inventory.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or related field
- Registered Chemical Technician
- With extensive laboratory experience, particularly in analytical and research laboratory settings
- Strong background in spectroscopic techniques (e.g., FTIR, UV-VIS, and ICP-MS or related methods)
- Proficient in the operation, calibration, maintenance, and safekeeping of laboratory and spectroscopic equipment
- Knowledgeable in laboratory safety protocols, proper chemical handling, and quality control procedures
- Demonstrates excellent written and oral communication skills for documentation, reporting, and collaboration.
- Willing to be assigned in the Laguna Campus.
